PLANNING & EXECUTION
The Special Events team supports safety preparation, planning, and execution for special events held on campus, such as dignitary visits, athletic and sporting events, and other unique events like the 2002 Winter Olympics and the 2020 Vice Presidential Debate.
When these types of events occur on campus, U Police officers work in collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, including the FBI, the Secret Service, and Homeland Security.
